Realistic Mathematics Education Research Group

RME-RG is one of research group in Universitas Negeri Padang which has vision to be one of reputable research center in mathematics education field in Indonesia.

VISION, MISSIONS AND OBJECTIVES

VISION

In order to actualize the qualified research center and in line with UNP’s vision, RME-RG has a vision that supports UNP’s vision, namely: “Becoming one of reputable research center in mathematics education field in Indonesia”.

MISSIONS

1	Conducting research and learning development with a realistic mathematical approach.
2	Helping lecturers and teachers to improve the ability in applying realistic mathematics education in learning at schools through workshops and mentoring
3	Providing learning resources/teaching materials and as a medium of sharing experiences for teachers, lecturers, and students related to realistic mathematics education
4	Implementing and improving synergistic cooperation with national / international institutions both at home and abroad related to realistic mathematics education
5	Expanding access to the development of Realistic Mathematics Education in universities

OBJECTIVES

To realize its vision and missions, RME-RG formulates the following objectives:

1	The implementation of research and learning development with a realistic mathematical approach to improve democratic attitudes, as well as critical, creative, and innovative mindsets;
2	The implementation of workshops and mentoring to improve the ability of lecturers and teachers in applying realistic mathematics education to learning at schools;
3	Availability of learning resources/teaching materials, and sharing experiences medium for teachers, lecturers, and students related to realistic mathematics education;
4	Achieving synergistic cooperation with national / international institutions both in local/ abroad related to realistic mathematics education;
5	The dissemination of information to the public about realistic mathematics education.
